Our passion for marine enterprise was sparked by Darren’s early success in competitive sailing, where he and his brother earned three world championship titles and Australian yachtsman of the year. While his brother continued in the sailing world, Darren transitioned into the exhilarating realm of high-performance powerboat racing—establishing not only a championship-winning race team but also a cutting-edge marine workshop and refurbishment studio. 

The 222 Race Team has achieved international recognition, winning the Class 1  2023 UIM World Championship this followed winning the previous year XCAT UIM World Championship. They have also recently won the prestigious 2025 AUS 1 Trophy in the Australian Offshore Superboat Series. Our 222 Marine Workshop specialises in the repair and refurbishment of marine vessels, delivering the highest standard of workmanship. With in-house expertise across diesel and petrol engines, marine electronics, carbon fibre and fibreglass work, painting, and timber finishes, we’re equipped to handle projects of any size. We offer secure indoor workshop facilities with transport options available, and our team can also service vessels on-site where required. 

Complementing this is the 222 Marine Studio, where we deliver bespoke refurbishments for luxury vessels—combining performance, style, and craftsmanship to exceed client expectations.
